The Folklore Museum aims to preserve the cultural heritage and the rural traditions of the Kassandra peninsula. The collection gives a detailed insight into the daily life of the region during the 19th and early 20th centuries, offering a glimpse of local customs before the advent of mass tourism.
On display are traditional handlooms, woven fabrics, genuine folk costumes, agricultural implements, olive-pressing equipment and household utensils. Interpretive panels show traditional trades such as farming, apiculture and fishing, demonstrating how the inhabitants of the area used nature in their everyday lives.
